I do love me a true-ish story about shameless fraudsters – this one is about Anna Delvey, a young woman who showed up in New York’s social scene, claiming to be the wealthy daughter of a German industrialist. She mooched and stole her way into elite circles until her final downfall. It was interesting and well-done, but I was surprised at the end when to my surprise, apparently we were supposed to be rooting for this shameless sociopath to be acquitted. I don’t think so.
