This series picks up with Jean Luc Picard 20 years after the events in the movie Star Trek: Nemesis. Picard left Starfleet under difficult circumstances and is living an unfulfilling retirement when a young woman who is being hunted by mysterious soldiers turns to him for help. Intensely character driven, this is a much darker Star Trek series where Star Fleet has made a lot of mistakes. A great ensemble cast. Unlike most Star Treks, the characters are driven by conflicting motives, not all of them noble. This is not the utopian future envisioned by Rodenberry. We also see some old friends from TNG and Voyager.
