The premise of this show sounds stupid – each season five comedians perform silly tasks assigned by “the Taskmaster” while the taskmaster’s hapless assistant (the actual creator and show runner of the show, Alex Horne) looks on. Then, a few months later, the five contestants gather in front of a live audience and the Taskmaster himself (Greg Davies) and watch how they did while the Taskmaster passes judgment. It is difficult to describe how insanely funny this show can be. I have cried laughing, pulled a muscle, wet myself a bit once or twice. It’s on YouTube if you don’t mind some commercials, and with 17 seasons, there’s plenty to enjoy.
