Dramatic space opera – sometimes confusing and the first season could drag, even with the fantastic special effects. The first season also really bothered me by the dearth of strong female characters and reliance on tropes. However, the second season introduced new characters, which fixed the representation problem, and with great new characters and more interesting plots, it really took off.
