This is a reality show competition. The premise is relatively simple – a group of strangers are put in a castle and engage in challenges to earn money. Some of the contestants are chosen in the first episode to be traitors (we know who they are). Two players are eliminated from the game every day – one by the traitors and one by the group as a whole. If the game ends with any traitors still in the game, the traitors split the pot of money. If all the traitors have been eliminated, the faithful players split the pot. What elevates this show is Alan Cumming as the host, dressed in ever more extravagant outfits and relishing every syllable of “traitor” and “murder.”
