House of Cards – American

The evil Frank Underwood schemes his way into the US presidency.  More complicated and not as charming as the BBC original, the Netflix remake makes up for its darker take on political machinations by having the great Robin Wright play Frank’s equally scheming wife. 

Chernobyl

Short (five episode) dramatization of the Chernobyl disaster and its aftermath.  Excellent storytelling shows the scientific, bureaucratic and human impacts and causes of the disaster.
