A perfectly serviceable adaptation of a Trollope novel. Filled with snobbish people, young love, revenge and family secrets.

Anne with an “E”

A retelling of the beloved Anne of Avonlea books – this time with a bit of a darker underbelly.  It’s fine – it doesn’t sugarcoat how hard Anne’s life must have been before joining the Cuthberts, and takes some creative license with embellishing those hardships.  That said, it doesn’t really break any new ground.
